New Subscription Hosting Service for Manifold IMS Users
Princeton, NJ -- February 8, 2008 -- MAPSERVING, the internet's best place for Manifold GIS users to easily, quickly, and securely share their map projects, announces the launch of their enhanced web hosting service. The new service provides end users with direct user-account access to MAPSERVING’s hosting services and adds a number of new features.
"We're very proud to announce MAPSERVING’s formal launch,” states Charles McLane, founder and CEO of MAPSERVING. “We believe it will transform how Manifold GIS users publish their maps or geospatial web applications, and the early responses have been very positive." The MAPSERVING web site provides users with the ability to open and manage their own accounts in a secure environment, with complete reporting at any time on their use of system resources. MAPSERVING’s monthly subscription hosting service is designed to be affordable for entry-level users, but can scale up ensuring powerful enterprise solutions for larger applications.
“We have seen Manifold IMS being used in a variety of ways empowering end users with easy to use GIS-enabled websites” said Senior IMS Specialist Joe Luchette. “Many developers or businesses do not want to take on the responsibility of running an IMS web server, and that’s where MAPSERVING comes in. Our hosted web service allows Manifold GIS users to concentrate solely on enhancing their web mapping applications and letting us handle the rest.”
Users of MAPSERVING’s hosting service may select from one of three available tiers of service, and configure their account to include the storage and bandwidth resources necessary for their particular project. The service allows Manifold IMS map projects to be displayed to end users in a standard internet web browser.
